Happy Holidays CTS Youth and Families

Our sincere thanks to everyone for the support provided to CTS in 2019. It has been another very busy and successful year, thanks to our sponsors, youth and their families. Together we are creating the next generation of youth leaders and strengthening our regional parks and local communities in the Metro Vancouver Region! I know it's been a while since you heard from us - so thanks for your patience. CTS is going through several transitions at this time. Unfortunately, in December we said thank you and fairwell to our program coordinator Brigit, as she has moved on and is moving to Vancouver Island.  We wish her well. CTS will soon be recruiting a new program coordinator for 2020 and hope to have a person in place by early February.

CTS is also going through a tranisition to a new adminstrative organization. While the core CTS program is not changing, a new CTS board will share the adminstrative responsibilties with the Pacific Parklands Foundation providing adminstrative oversight.  Pacific Parklands Foundation will also provide strategic and core funding support for the CTS Program. We welcome Janet Antonio who is the new Executive Director of Pacific Parklands and who will also assume a similar role with the CTS program.  It's an exciting development and should help provide for the ongoing long term success of CTS.

Finally, to our CTS youth - our shout out for our 2020 Peer Leaders will be posted early in the new year.  We hope many of you will apply, so keep an eye on the CTS website.

On behalf of the Board and staff, we wish all our CTS youth, families and sponsors a Merry Christmas and hope 2020 brings health, happiness and many great adventures!

Best wishes

Bob, Janet & CTS Board
