CALLING ALL YOUTH AGED 12 TO 18
Catching the Spirit 2008 is an outdoor environmental stewardship program designed for youth that will take place this summer in various Metro Vancouver Regional parks. The program involves camping, and working on park projects; each providing a number of opportunities for career preparation credit as well as basic training in a variety of outdoor skills.
The program cost: FREE!!

Programs run throughout July and August
You may participate in one of two ways:
As a Participant (complete section 1 only): Youth PARTICIPANTS between the ages of 12 and 18 camp in the park over three day periods and participate in various park projects during the day, and join in outdoor activities in the evenings. Join for 1 day, 1 weekend, or more Ð you decide. Once we receive your application you will be contacted closer to the summer and given an opportunity to sign up for the dates that work for you.
As a Peer Leader (complete sections 1 AND 2): Youth between the ages of 16 and 18 who are looking for an extra challenge should consider applying as a PEER LEADER. Peer Leaders participate for a minimum 100 hours, and receive additional first aid and leadership training as well as a $100 scholarship award.
